1f. The bottom face of the chassis, excluding wheels and guide, must be flat when fitted over a test block.

2a. Chassis type: Any personally-built or commercially-available scratch-built chassis conforming to these specifications.
2b. Chassis Materials: Brass sheet, rod, and tube; steel wire, pin tubing, and guide tongues. No other chassis materials will be allowed.
2c. Drive type: open to the imagination.
2d. Centerline hinges are not allowed.
2e. No chassis movement, dynamic or induced, may extend the overall chassis width to more than 3.125". 2f. Front axle: A single straight, one-piece solid steel 0.055 minimum diameter front axle is required, carrying both front wheels. No hinged front wheel movements are allowed.
2g. No visual obstruction of any kind across either front or rear wheels must be seen when viewing the car from its sides.
2h. Front wheels may rotate independently.
2i. Rear axle bearings/bushings must be held by a 3/16 brass tube or formed brass sheet.
2j. Rear axle: A single one-piece solid steel 0.093 minimum diameter rear axle is required.
2j. Guide: One guide flag centered on the longitudinal axis of the chassis (i.e. no sideways "free float" or offset) is allowed.
3. Motor rules 3a. Motor type stock JK hawk motor JK-3030 with only the following modifications/changes allowed: *May use Proslot American Made Hawk Replacement Armature PS-4016 (No Koford Hawk Arms).
*May use any manufacturer three coil springs, brushes, and endbell screws.
*May use JK endbell JK-30303 for American made armatures.
*May solder can end bushing in place.
*Armatures may be balanced.
*Magnets may be epoxied in place (no neodymium magnets and no honing of magnets).
4a. Maximum body height is 1.63
4b. Bodies must be presentably painted and carry at least three racing numbers.
